24 May 2010 -   It seems that we have failed in informing some of you, our loyal readers, of what is going on here every day.  Not to worry, it's all above board!

 

The thing is, we roll and bake the best, homemade, gooey sticky buns in the World every day.  In truth, we only bake a few in the morning - to ensure freshness - and when they are sold you'll have to wait until the next day!

31 March 2010 -  Here's the deal: there are roughly 1,500 people graduating from William & Mary on May 16.  And that's just the undergraduates.  For most families, this is a big deal - relatives like to attend such momentous events.  Eventually, those relatives, families and graduates all have to eat.  Now we get to the fun part.

There are probably 600 or so dining seats in our downtown area.  If each graduate has 5 or 6 folks attend, you can understand why seating is limited and people get stressed out.  Because of that demand, we will be manning the phones starting at 8 a.m. on April 1, the first day that we take reservations for May.

Mothers of the World - Celebrate!

25 March 2010 -  We realize how ridiculous it is to imagine that Mom's only deserve recognition one day year.  It might be more accurate to pick one day a year to NOT appreciate mothers everywhere.  

Be that as it may, the powers-that-be (Hallmark) have decreed that Moms only get Sunday, May 9.  As many of you may already know, we start taking reservations for the entire month of May on April 1.  If you care about your mother, or if you are a mom who cares about her family, you will call us and make a brunch reservation for Mothers Day before we are sold out.  We're not saying that Blue Talon Brunch is the only appropriate token of love and affection - but we can't think of anything else that comes close.

2010 Annual Truffle Dinner

9 January 2010 - Wow!  What a great evening was had by all!  Seven courses - some great wines, great food, tons of truffles.  Throw in a little Foie Gras and you have a recipe for a real live good time.  Here's the menu that everyone enjoyed, and check out the photos from the dinner!
